All lighting aspects of the Cathedral were revisited. The original lanterns were refurbished and reused as decorative pendants with additional lighting added for services and to highlight the key architectural features of the building. A central control system was introduced so that the cathedral could have ‘architectural’ lighting during visitor hours and ‘service’ lighting at times when the cathedral or chapels were in use.
