Sutton Vane Associates’ lighting for the National Museum of Ireland's refurbished Treasury Gallery is on the long list for the year’s World Architecture News Awards. The scheme  enhances the museum’sdisplays of priceless Celtic Christian artefacts and the building itself, and reflects close and early cooperation with the curator and architects.

The scheme includes custom-built cases, fibre optics carefully positions to highlight treasures and to protect the gallery's carefully restored mosaic floor. LED spotlights put a soft glow on floors. Transitions in lighting levels are carefully managed and the collection is both easier to view and protected from light damage.
