Sutton Vane Associates has been shortlisted in three categories of the 2016 Lighting Design Awards.

The high profile V&A new European Galleries project is shortlisted in the Daylight Project of the Year category while the stunning project to light the Sussex Cellar for wine merchants Berry Brothers and Rudd appears in the shortlists for both Workplace and Integration Project of the Year.

“It’s always a great fillip when our designs are recognised by the industry” remarked Mark Sutton-Vane, going on to observe: “The Lighting Design Awards are hugely prestigious because of the calibre of the judging panel and the quality of the entries.  We are very proud of the two projects featured this year and delighted that the design teams involved are achieving the recognition they deserve.”

This Awards programme has retained its kudos largely because of the rigour involved in the judging process.   A prestigious group of lighting experts from around the world sift through the projects and every shortlisted project is visited to ensure the reality of the installation lives up to the claims on the entry.

Celebrating its 40th year, the awards event is an established calendar highlight for lighting professionals throughout the UK.  Supported by both the Society of Light and Lighting and the Institution of Lighting Professionals, the Awards event is attended by 1,000 professionals focused on the art of lighting: designers, manufacturers and clients.

This year’s Lighting Design Award winners will be announced on 5th May at an awards evening at London’s Hilton International Hotel.
