The futuristic community and public arts building in West Bromwich known as The Public provides the backdrop to an iconic lighting scheme by Sutton Vane Associates, working with landscape architect Camlin Lonsdale. It included the creation of large pebble-like seating which incorporates coloured fluorescent lighting hidden beneath the granite benches in special rebates designed to protect the fittings from street cleaning machinery.

Three colours were chosen to tie in with elements of The Public’s facade.
