Southwark Cathedral

Southwark used to be London’s hidden Cathedral. The lighting is a pure white light scheme to show off the wonderful medieval stonework. By day functional luminaires are virtually invisible. The spaces to the South of the Cathedral were lit by a number of lamp posts which were copied from a few originals that had been in the courtyards. The rest of the lighting is by concealed luminaires. There are many concealed luminaires in the right hand photograph which have been designed to blend in with the very high quality stonework and planting.
