Museums + Exhibitions

Sutton Vane Associates’ award-winning lighting schemes have won a worldwide reputation among museum, gallery and exhibition curators, owners and designers. Our experience ranges from lighting temporary displays through to entire permanent shows and whole buildings in countries from Ireland to China and Oman. With decades of combined expertise in museum and exhibition lighting, the practice also draws on wide experience in all areas of lighting design. For example, a typical project might involve daylight modelling a museum to ensure energy savings and to protect vulnerable fugitive artefacts, while also providing effective way-finding and carefully illuminating exhibits to avoid glare.
